National Self Build & Renovation Show – Preview

It’s time for the first show of the year at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre in Swindon! This is the ideal event to meet experts, see and test products in a spacious and relaxing setting. The show offers something for everyone, no matter what stage you are at with your project. There you will find tons of advice on finding a plot and arranging your finances, deciding on the best building method through to how you will heat your home.

The January show will take place on Friday 28th – Sunday 30th. ACA are pleased to have one of our projects selected for this Show’s Star Home. Find out more and check out our top recommendations for the NSBRC show!

The National Self Build & Renovation Show is a ticketed event. Tickets are free when booked in advance, or £12 per person on the door. You can get them here. The Show’s opening hours are 9am-5pm on Friday and Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sunday.

SEMINARS AT THE NSBRC SHOW

The National Self Build & Renovation Show will offer various seminars, one-to-one expert advice and case studies. The events will be split across two theatres: the Build It Theatre and the Sovereign Theatre. There will also be several live demonstration zones at the show, where exhibitors will be presenting their products and services, including our Virtual Reality demonstration sessions at ACA stand (stand no 55).

Build It Theatre

Finding Land & Appraising a Plot Surgery – Potton House

Everyday at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00

The NSBRC Guide to Finding Land & Appraising a Plot is an extensive, in-depth and informative one-day course, which delves deep into the challenging world of plot hunting.

In this free taster session, experts from Potton share their advice and knowledge, and explain why plots are hard to find, how to get started and some top tips to finding your own building plot.

VISIT OUR STAND AT THE SHOW

ACA will be more involved in the show than ever before! Our experts Jenny and David will be available at our stand (no TV55) to speak to you about your project and demonstrate our renowned Virtual Reality system. The VR sessions will be at 10.30am and 2pm on both days of the show.

Jenny will also deliver a very interesting talk (11:30 on Sunday at the Sovereign Theatre) on the role of the integrated design team, where she will discuss how to select your team and when to engage them. An integrated design team is the first step to an efficient and streamlined project – from initial design through to the completed build!

A COVID SAFE EVENT

The NSBRC Show organisers have put in place special measures to ensure the centre and show safeguard the visitors, exhibitors and staff. They are working hard to ensure they comply with current guidelines and as such this show will be a little different from previous events. If you are bringing children, please ensure they remain with you at all times.

Visiting the National Self Build & Renovation Centre is beneficial for every person who wants to build their dream home.

In addition, The National Self Build and Renovation Show provides even more value and should be in the calendar of every conscious self-builder who want to prepare thoroughly for what will be the biggest investment in their life.
