National Self Build & Renovation Show – Preview
Since the National Self Build & Renovation Centre has been re-opened for visitors in April, it has hosted various courses, seminars and one National Self Build & Renovation Show. Despite the still uncertain situation, the events have been well attended, attracting many visitors looking to build their dream homes. The measures set by the organisers allowed self-builders and renovators to learn about their future project in a safe environment.
October brings another National Self Build & Renovation Show which will take place on 15-16 October. Read our preview article and check out our top recommendations for the NSBRC show!
SEMINARS AT THE NSBRC SHOW
The National Self Build & Renovation Show will offer various seminars, one-to-one expert advice and case studies. The events will be split across two theatres: the Build It Theatre and the Sovereign Theatre. There will also be several live demonstration zones at the show, where exhibitors will be presenting their products and services, including our Virtual Reality demonstration sessions at ACA stand (stand no 55).

The NSBRC Guide to Finding Land & Appraising a Plot is an extensive, in-depth and informative one-day course, which delves deep into the challenging world of plot hunting. In this free taster session, experts from Potton share their expert advice and knowledge, and explain why plots are hard to find, how to get started and share some top tips.
Heating Surgery – The Dale House
Friday and Saturday at 11:30 and 14:00
NSBRC Expert and Course presenter David Hilton, brings together half a dozen expert suppliers in this informal surgery. Covering Underfloor Heating, Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps, Solar, Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery and Infrared, each representative will deliver a short second elevator pitch for their chosen system and then, led by David, will answer your questions.
The National Self Build & Renovation Centre has over 250 permanent exhibitors, and many of them will be present at the show to provide expert advice to visitors. You will have a chance to learn about the various products and services they have to offer, and how they can benefit your project.
There will be exhibitors who specialise in construction, covering areas such as design, renewables, exteriors, interiors, financial services and many more.

ACA will be more involved in the show than ever before! Our experts Jenny and David will be available at our stand (no TV55) to speak to you about your project and demonstrate our renowned Virtual Reality system. The VR sessions will be at 10.30am and 2pm on both days of the show.
Jenny will also deliver a very interesting talk (3pm on Friday) on the role of the integrated design team, where she will discuss how to select your team and when to engage them. An integrated design team is the first step to an efficient and streamlined project – from initial design through to the completed build!
SELF BUILD SEMINARS WITH ACA
We are happy to announce that ACA are taking another big step in helping Self Builders in the UK – we are launching our own seminars!
‘How to Self Build successfully’ will take place at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre and be hosted by industry expert Allan Corfield. The seminar will focus on educating visitors on all of the key areas of the Self Build journey and will take place on Wednesday 27th October. Attending the seminar is a perfect way to start your homebuilding journey and learn how to effectively build your dream home, and avoid costly mistakes.

A COVID SAFE EVENT
The NSBRC Show organisers have put in place special measures to ensure the centre and show safeguard the visitors, exhibitors and staff. They are working hard to ensure they comply with current guidelines and as such this show will be a little different from previous events. If you are bringing children, please ensure they remain with you at all times.
Visiting the National Self Build & Renovation Centre is beneficial for every person who wants to build their dream home.
