Fabric first home in Ullapool
In April 2019, we submitted a planning application for a highly thermally efficient family home within a stunning glen in Ullapool.
Our client’s vision was for a dream home which would allow the opportunity for flexible living.
High on their wish list was being able to separate the dwelling into two halves, so should they wish to use the property as a B&B, it could be seamlessly split between private and public.
We came up with an innovative design that would allow the dwelling to be used in both ways without compromising the overall design.
This exciting proposal takes the traditional architectural style and replicates the form with subtle contemporary touches allowing it to hold a modern sharpness within a local context.
