Low Energy Sips Self Build In Kinghorn, Scotland

Low Energy Sips Self Build In Kinghorn, Scotland

ACA were approached by a local couple to provide the Building Warrant service for their home that they had just received planning approval for.

As their current designer had no experience with SIPs buildings, ACA were the ideal fit to take the project further.

The house is split over 3 storeys, utilising the base of an old water tank, that creates an underground garage and plant room.

The traditional looking house is split over a further 2 storeys, with large entertaining spaces and 4 bedrooms with a large master suite.

The house features large double height glazed sections and a traditional Scottish turret.

This Self Build house will be constructed from SIPs panels, feature triple glazed windows, a MVHR heat recovery and feature lighting systems.

The house has been designed to reduce heating demand and energy consumption, which will drastically reduce the ongoing running costs.

The house is wind and water tight and due to be completed in early-2019.
